Role Overview

As a Software Engineer – Computer Scientist at Adobe, you will play a critical role within the Consumer Communication Platform team, aligning with the DMe Business Unit. This team is responsible for enabling marketing automation and delivering technical solutions that meet the needs of customers. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-performance, low-latency SaaS applications, ensuring they are scalable and reliable.

Key Responsibilities

• Development of Web Technologies: Work on server-side development using Spring, Hibernate, Tomcat, and databases like MySQL and PGSql. You will be crafting web technologies to deliver high-performance SaaS applications.
• Cloud Expertise: Gain hands-on experience with cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, while ensuring smooth integration of backend services.
• Test-Driven Development: Use TDD methodologies with tools like JUnit and Mockito to write clean, efficient, and optimized Java code.
• Data Structures & Algorithms: Apply your deep understanding of data structures and algorithms to deliver efficient and optimized software solutions.
• Cutting-edge Solutions: Engage in research and competition analysis to deliver state-of-the-art solutions, preparing HLD (High-Level Design) and LLD (Low-Level Design), creating use cases, and estimating the effort required for feature development.
• Customer Engagement: Work closely with product managers and customers to understand needs and create innovative solutions that enhance user experience and engagement.
• Performance Optimization: Tackle non-functional requirements such as performance, memory management, and error handling to ensure a smooth user experience across large-scale applications.
• Collaborate & Innovate: Work collaboratively with teams across departments to evolve best practices, enhance the platform’s technical architecture, and continually push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Educational Qualification: BTech/MTech in Computer Science or related fields.
• Freshers / 0 – 2 years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Java: Demonstrated ability to write clean, efficient, and optimized code in Java, following best practices.
• Web Development: Experience with Spring, Hibernate, Tomcat, and databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Test-Driven Development: Knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, and other TDD tools.
• Data Structures & Algorithms: A solid understanding of computer science fundamentals and data structures.
• GenAI Technology Exposure: Experience with generative AI technologies will be considered an advantage.
• Strong Problem-Solving Skills: A passion for solving challenging technical problems, especially within customer-focused environments.
• Adaptability & Curiosity: Willingness to explore uncharted territories and solve unique problems with a curious mindset and appetite for risk.
